Fish Flush

The fish was dead, I couldn’t feign

So flushed him down the toilet drain

I closed one eye, then looked down there

And what I saw gave me a scare

That sly ol’ fish spoke up when pressed

“You thought me dead; I’ll fool the best ”

Then looking straight at me, he eyed

“I faked the float, oh yes… I lied!”
