It started with a Circus Poem that Sally wrote for me

I wrote a couple of my own, but did them differently

Trapezes flying thru the air, fun under the big top

Thought hers were so amazing, but my brain told me to stop



I'm not a free verse kind of girl, not even for part-time

My stages must be centerpage, my words just need to rhyme 



I hate to leave the circus, but just had to do my thing

So joined the carnival next door, a carousel I'd bring

The horses are your ups and downs, the joy and also strife

As we go round and round again, the circle of our life



Sometimes to tell a story, little sadness is no crime

As long as it ends happy and of course it has to rhyme



There has to be a bouncy feel, like children on the run

A weekend kind of happiness, get out and have some fun

 A line or two between each verse that also brings a smile

And laughter is a plus, when you write Merry~go~Rhyme style



So as I'm on my merry way, I hear bells start to chime

They're part of music in my head, and they all want to rhyme
