Peanut Butter and Jelly

by JLR

“Hey, do you want a peanut butter and jelly sandwich?”

“Sure, why not? I’m hungry.”

“Okay, here you go. Enjoy.”

“Thanks. Mmm, this is good. What kind of jelly did you use?”

“Huckleberry. It’s my favorite.”

“Mine too. And the peanut butter is nice and creamy.”

“Yeah, I like it smooth. Not crunchy.”

“Me neither. Crunchy peanut butter is weird.”

“I know, right? It’s like eating gravel.”

“Exactly. And it gets stuck in your teeth.”

“Ugh, I hate that. Smooth peanut butter is the way to go.”

“Agreed. And it goes so well with huckleberry jelly.”

“The best combination ever.”

“Totally. You know, you have good taste in sandwiches.”

“Thanks. So do you. We should have lunch together more often.”

“Yeah, we should. Maybe we can try different kinds of jelly next time.”

“Ooh, that sounds fun. What kind do you want to try?”

“How about strawberry?”

“Strawberry? That’s a classic. I like it.”

“Me too. Or maybe Blackberry?”

“Blackberry? Hmm, I don’t know. I’ve never had it before.”

“It’s good. It has little seeds in it.”

“Seeds? Like crunchy peanut butter?”

“No, no, not like that. They’re tiny and soft. You barely notice them.”

“Oh, okay. Well, maybe I’ll give it a try then.”

“Cool. Or maybe we can mix different kinds of jelly together.”

“Mix them? Like how?”

“Like, put some huckleberry on one slice of bread and some blackberry on the other.
Then put them together and make a sandwich.”

“Wow, that sounds crazy. But also, kind of awesome.”

“Right? I’ve always wanted to try that.”

“Well, maybe we can do that next time, then.”

“Yeah, let’s do it. I think it would be delicious.”

“Me too. You know what? You’re awesome.”

“Aww, thanks. You’re awesome too.”

“We’re both awesome. And so are our sandwiches.”

“Yes, they are. Cheers to that.”

“Cheers.”
