He killed my friend, now he was after me
Abusive-Part Two
by Maria Millsaps
The author has placed a warning on this post for violence.
David kicked the door down, entering the house. I hid in the closet, trying to open the security box to load the gun, but it was too dark; my hands shook, and I couldn't see the numbers.
"Come out, tell me about abuse." He said, getting closer. Tears rolled down my face. What a nightmare; I thought, why me?
The police had arrived, but would this be the day I die like my bestie? HELP!

Domestic violence is a pattern of abusive behavior in any relationship that one partner uses to gain and maintain power or control over another person. In this story, David had already killed Kim and had come after Barb, who had warned her about him. Abusers have no boundaries, but you must not be a victim.
