A description of modern day life

Life Today

by nomi338

He's got a husband, she's got a wife,
Such is the nature of modern-day life.
It does not matter what we might think,
Men no longer teased for wearing pink.

When we do things, God does not approve of
We are forgiven by the merits of his love,
Some understand, others will never get it,
The wise let it pass, the fool will never let it.

Paying homage to the times in which we live,
We do whatever, hoping God will forgive,
As it has been written, these days are the last
Some will not survive; the dye's already cast.

But I'm not here to criticize,
I see strange things, even when I close my eyes.

As my poem states I am not here to criticize. I will be 80 years old in less than a month and I have seen some things, many things in fact, change over that time. This poem merely points out some of the changes I have seen.
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
