I Am An Irishman

We come from the old country with pride and truth,

Don’t mock our heritage or we’ll kick your ass with our stout little youth;

Hoppin and skippin from bar to bar,

I’m sure hope the house isn’t too far;

Toasting glasses to wishes of the past,

Remembering our memories and hopefully they'll last;

Friends with drinks, forever we’ll be,

Keepin our spirits up from sea to shining sea;

Love, sweat, and blood from one generation to another,

The redhead runs deep, all thanks to my mother;

My feet are always movin to the beat of the music,

Being happy and drunk, it happens any way that you choose it;

Your family really loves you, don’t you know,

One more pub and one last drink,

Undoubtedly,you know,it will definitely show;

Better sober up and head on home,

You know you better or all night you’ll roam;

I’m so beautiful and joyful, I have to say,

Out of my mind, but awful sleepy today;

As God as my witness and true to my Irish word,

A lot less lying because I’m a drinkin nerd.
