Earth the Beautiful

by Willie P. Smith

I hear the rustle of the tree leaves,
And the soft whistle of the breeze.
I watch the cotton white clouds roll by,
Against the blue of the sky.

I see the setting of the evening sun,
Bringing night time when it's done.
I see the moon shine so brightly
Giving the earth light nightly.

I watch the birds flying by,
Bringing beauty to the eye.
I hear the soft waves reach the beach,
Leaving the large waves out of reach.

The bright morning light has once again come,
A new day begins with the rising sun,
Beauty once again reaches the eye,
From the soil of the earth, to the blue of the sky.

I guess you can say I'm a stickler for beauty, I don't understand why some people want to destroy it.
