This is a long monoku poem.

linen-white

by Regina Elliott

The author has placed a warning on this post for violence.
dreamt of linen-white easter lilies....
bright and dewy that sunday dawn

the symbol of his sacrifice in death....
wretched me still given life

holy sufferer unsullied lamb...
so selfless i can't repay it

he bled thirsted in dry dust and....
heat rose higher than all the cosmos

it's too immeasurable....beyond my
simpleness of existing

Easter time is renewal and rebirth
of nature, and the sacred story of
Christ's sacrifice for us and His
glorious resurrection.
