Death 5-7-5 writing prompt entry
Writing Prompt Write a 5-7-5 syllable poem about death where line 1 has 5 syllables, line 2 has 7 syllables and line 3 has 5 syllables. Rhyming is optional. |
Atheists believe there is nothing after death.
Christians believe that after death there is eternal life for those who opened their hearts to God and followed His teachings in life.
Hinduism: believes in the continuous cycle of life, death and reincarnation and karma (actions), the universal law of cause and effect...good or bad actions determine the future modes of an individual's existence.
During many levels of enlightenment, a person during their many rebirths/lives CHOOSES to shed one by one all desires and sufferings (hardships and struggles). Once a person is devoid of their human baggage he/she has reached nirvana/liberation.
Q.Will suffering end only after enlightenment or nirvana?
Enlightenment is the end of suffering.
Enlightenment isn t the bucket of water that extinguishes the fire of suffering.
This is very important to understand.
Enlightenment is the choice to stop and the insight that we have the power.
The power to put out the fire is ours - we only have to stop feeding it.
We think we are waiting for a blinding insight, after which we will stop suffering.
But the insight is that we don t have to suffer.
We spend most of our time bothering ourselves, and we don t have to.
The events of this world don t act on us like we imagine they do.
We enjoy relatively tranquil circumstances most of the time, but we don t seem to notice.
We have sticks to poke every hornet s nest and opinions to prod every current event.
We could have bliss instead of this.
Securing it takes radical honesty and trust in what we have seen.
