Silvered Sorrows

by Regina Elliott

spirit of my heart remember when....
we were youth foolishly carefree

our new elation....the spring sun's
melted butter over days of light

eve remembrance starry tears....
flight fleeting time moonrise
silvered sorrows

three in the morning....our silent
dusky spectral train's blue ridge
passage

dreams daren't die....ours still
live in passion's summertide
mountains romance
