Winter

by RodG

When yard's snow-filled and winter-frozen,
feel within my brittle bones
Nostalgia for forgotten days of youthful fun--
That gang of boys, their boisterous cheer,
Echoes of loud laughter while we played,
Recall of snowmen smartly dressed, and deeds we'd done.

This poetry form is called an ALLITERETTE. It is a poem which takes advantage of the charming tool of repetitive sound in the close neighborhood, which is used randomly, yet close enough to be noticed and enjoyed. (From POETS TREASURY by Viola Jacobsen Berg)
Pays one point and 2 member cents.
