Any man whom I've called "mine"
has had these traits in common:
Great hair, dark eyes, strong bod, soft lips,
loves pasta, but not Ramen.

All were funny, smart and hot,
but the one I deeply love?
He is also true and kind.
He's the cut above.

I am shallow, so, you see,

his looks can't be discarded.

But I am also kind and so

crave someone tender-hearted.

I need a man who likes to work

But still makes time to play.

Responsible, but silly, too,

is his ongoing way.

This describes the man I love

He's all these things and more.

He makes my every day just right

and full of joy galore.
