Mrs. Claus on the Loose
by pome lover
You better watch out, Mrs. C is about,
and she’s come to see the latest MG,
and no one told her that they’re
no more.
She’s making a fuss; she’s ma-ad at us
T’was her dream car, and no-ow we are
In the soup, and Santa
Is sore!
She told us what she wanted
a long-ong time ago,
But then I think that she forgot
An-and we-e must have too, so
Let’s find her a car that’s better by far
One she’ll adore and drive off the floor
And Mr. C. will be
Satisfied.
A red Mercedes? She wants it today?
And we can get one? Well, hip, hip, hooray!
And don’t forget to add a red bow!
Ho Ho!

Writing Prompt Poems are Part I of every song with lyrics. Choose a song you love, and re-write the words. Can be a Broadway tune, a pop or country song, even a Christmas carol -any song at all! But whatever it is, you'll help yourself in the polls if you also post a recorded version of the original song when you post the new-and-improved lyrics/contest entry by you. (Because the voters might not be familiar with the tune, so giving them a chance to listen to it will help them "hear" yours!) |
the rewritten song is from Santa Claus is Coming to Town
