Carl, The Climate Change Turkey

by Mike Stevens

There once was a turkey named Carl G

Walked around with a snarl, something to see

Some would say lucky for the shrinkage,

As he listened the storms did rage

Now the size of a chicken, albeit an ugly one

A deluge all winter, then burning summer sun

The crops were confused as to when to grow

And the top soil eroded as the wind did blow

New dust bowl raged as Carl grew thinner,

Unfortunately, now he’s in line for chicken dinner!
