Just for a hoot!
I did presume that everyone would know â??The Owl and The Pussy-Catâ??, but a reviewer has suggested that perhaps they donâ??t, so Iâ??ve included the first verse of Edward Learâ??s poem - there are further 2 verses though, which continue the story.
The owl and the pussy-cat went to sea
In a beautiful pea-green boat
They took some honey, and plenty of money,
Wrapped up in a five-pound note.
The owl looked up to the stars above,
And sang to a small guitar,
â??Oh lovely Pussy! O Pussy my love,
What a beautiful Pussy you are,
You are!
What a beautiful Pussy you are!â??
