From the spider's point of view

Spiders

by tempeste

Kids just don't have respect
they never take time to reflect.
Using sticks like bayonets
they toy and destroy our silky nets.

When in sight the ladies take fright
thinking we all have a deadly bite.
They see us as pests and they won't rest
until they have crushed each one of us.

And yet left in peace, we'd keep homes free
of silverfish and fleas,
and blood drinking bugs
that hide in their precious shaggy rugs.

In truth, we play a vital role
keeping pesky, diseased vermin under control.
Luckily not all humans are jerks
farmers bless and praise our work.

So folks next time you see a spider
please reconsider
before you spray, slay
the poor critter.

I think we should be more kind and if we find a spider in the house collect it in a container and return it to the garden. Spiders are very useful insects.
