From A Songbird In The Trees On High...

A Cradlesong Lullaby.

by rhonnie69

Nightlong, night song, nigh sings a nightingale.
In mine ear he sings a rainbow that I've seen
in a fairytale.

Soft and low, chirp-chirp, tweet-tweet,
Like candy land, his song is sweet.
I close mine eyes to go to sleep.

Nightlong, night song nigh sings a nightingale.
He sings for me a melody that tells me a dreamy tale.

Chirp-chirp tweet-tweet chirp-tweet, peep-peep.
I close mine eyes, I'm fast asleep.
