I Almost Shat

A doormat sat.
Welcome! Have at!
Look, a black cat!
Scat!
A witch with a hat!
How 'bout that?
Rat!
Where's that cat?
Or a baseball bat?
Bat!
A flying rat.
Where's it at?
Rat-a-tat-tat!
What's that?
A tiny pitter-pat.
From the wall comes something fat.
Splat, went the cat!
To the rat
Now it's flat
Let's get out of here, STAT!
