By my miscarried grand-babies

You're my Nan!

by Wendy G

Loved One In Heaven Contest Winner

You're my Nan, and I'm your boy . . .
I would have brought you so much joy!
My life was done before my birth,
I had no days of life on earth . . .

You're my Nan, and I love you . . .
I hope you'll soon be with me too!
I'll know you, and you'll know me,
And together with Him we'll always be . . .

You're my Nan, I wish you'd held me
In your arms so I would be
Loved and cherished like the others . . .
Like my sister and my brothers.

Dear Nan, we are your special three
Our life with you was not to be
We know that soon your face we'll see . . .
And how exciting that will be!

                   *****
Oh dear ones, I am here for you  . . .
I love you so much, I really do!
One day our love will be complete,
Together at last, at Jesus' feet.

Writing Prompt
Please write a rhyming poem, at least every other line (3 to 5 stanzas - four lines each stanza). Write the poem as if your departed friend or family member is talking about the experiences you had together on earth and how they are watching over you now.
