Mommy, I wish I could see Daddy's face;

And give him a kiss and a warm embrace.

Are you really sure Daddy passed away?

There's so many things I wish I could say.

Does heaven have visitors? Can I go?

Daddy was my best friend. I'm sure you know.

How did he die? I really miss him so.

I'm mad and sad. I will let my tears flow.

Now I won't get to hear him laugh and read.

He understood everything I would need.

He won't be here to tuck me in at night,

Watch me play baseball or fly my new kite.

Mommy, is Daddy watching over me?

Did bad guys kill him? I hate them, you see.

I wish that you could take my pain away.

I love him more than words can say.
