Failure not a pleasant word, stirs up negative feelings Because we have not met our own expectations We tie failure to our self-worth and self-acceptance When failure is experienced resilience is needed Resilience is the ability to be tough and not give up   One must seek to learn what went wrong The process of reflection is necessary What did go well? What did not? Self-probe, seek truth, want to know Make lists - right moves, wrong moves     Take solace in the thoughts that it took Edison 10,000 attempts to perfect the light blub Bill Gates first company was a disaster Walt Disney was fired for lack of creativity   Failure hurts, no doubt about it, but it also brings opportunity Fighting to explore and overcome failure makes us better Once we know what went wrong, acting upon the knowledge Will show us new roads to success and positive self-worth
