Comfort is an experience With three distinct parts Giving comfort Receiving comfort Feeling comfortable   To give comfort we must be sincere Listen, acknowledge the other’s feelings Let them know we will be there for them And give them a hug, this helpful behavior Brings me comfort   When we ourselves need comfort We need to stay open, be accepting Tell the truth to those who wish to help And be willing to accept a hug Receiving comfort provides Comfort to the giver.   When we feel comfortable We are happy, satisfied and content We love ourselves as well as others And we feel hugged and at peace Which makes us available to give comfort
