Enigmas

Imagination helps unlock
enigmas of the universe.
Perambulation, taking stock
in footsteps' girth, perspective's purse
is ever-heavy with our thoughts
of fundamental building bricks,
interpretation's acid tricks
and anxious memes our psyches bought.
 
If sight and sound
abound,
if pomp and joy
employ
all flame and spark,
embark
 
upon a dream presented in a show -
display your way to understanding's glee,
excitedly, delightedly aflow
on exaltation rushing to the sea
 
of mystery.

Those who read lots of my poems will not be surprised to learn I like a song with the opening line 'Enigmas of the Universe' - referenced in the second line of my poem above. The specific song is called 'Omega - Sovereign of the Sun Spheres' by Epica. Unfortunately, there is not a decent video version online, so instead I'll link another of their signature songs below. If you can accept the concept of 'philosophical metal' and don't mind your music on the heavier side, I can highly recommend.
