What's success

What is success, what's its measure,
what's its height, by part or treasure?
I pondered this and weighed its worth,
against what depth, or length, or girth?

But I think truth is valued more
than shiny trinkets one can store.
A captured image canvas laid.
where our debt's purchased, bought and paid.

So when we die where do we go,
discarding robes, and gems that glow?
But love and wisdom's value stays
beyond all years, beyond all days.

But if one finds eternal grace,
finds its source, seeks its face,
and one will find true value thus,
encased in grace, salvation's truss.
