If an elephant became a cow

And a cow became a sheep

A sheep would be a rooster

And we would not get any sleep

We’d hear loud baa’s at 6.00am

From a wooly-looking bird

Moo’s from creatures that were shorn

Totally absurd!

Monkey would shrink down to a mouse

Mouse would become a cat

Tables would be completely turned

Can you imagine that?

Wildlife world turned upside down

Around the twist and queer

If animals became themselves

Spinning the Earth out of gear

Best if the cow keeps giving milk

The sheep to grow its wool

Rooster will crow at six o’clock

Life will keep on being cool
