Beauty Floats

The Locket

by Carlos' girl

A locket it did float
On a chain of gold
Shaped just like a heart
That never would grow old

The heart would gleam and shine
A splash of roses fair
Was carved into the heart
With the artist's flair

The beauty of the locket
Was handed down to me
Thru the generations
Of my family

I always kept it close
Never would I part
With this gift of gold
The roses and the heart
