When love remains unrequited

An Unspoken Love

words unspoken oft cast to the wind

lyrical love songs are hidden within

timidity fetters desire’s true breath

inner heartstrings are lost and found

wintry winds stymie spring’s rebirth

chastity’s belt remains summer safe 

twined fantasies relinquish their hold

infatuation dreams stay unrequited

teenaged pubescent angst restrained

as true feelings, words, suffer unsaid
