Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
She has gone home

Vale Queen Elizabeth 11

by Aussie

I saw her passing by, Philip at her side
I was only nine at the time
Beautiful lady, smiling, waving
Land Rover carried her slowly

Around Sydney showgrounds
Beatific smile for one and all
We carried her love in awe
This was our Monarch evermore

Across the Commonwealth
Sadness and thankfulness
Fills our hearts and minds
Now she walks the gardens of God

In her youth she was beautiful
Gave herself to our service
The rock upon which Commonwealth
Was built; for seventy years she reigned

We are in mourning at her loss
Never will there be another Elizabeth
Queen, mother, grandmother all
Mother of our country

She has gone home - RIP

Recognized

Today I feel her loss. She was mother to us all. She was 96 and time to be with her beloved Philip. I was nine years old and we saw her up close. She such a young age, beautiful, and Philip was handsome. She visited Australia 16 times. Never has there been a woman like Elizabeth, she gave her life for the benefit of all Commonwealth countries. Across the World grief. Vale Elizabeth 11
