Fear of Hospitals

Phobia Mania

by Maria Millsaps

Sitting by a brook is a hospital. That I avoid at all cost. At one time hospitals were sanctuary, sanitized, sunny and cheerful places to go, if one was ill or feeling sick. Now they have become the black flag of humans, you check in, but you don't check out, and if you do, gauze and bounds follow the way.

Nosocomephobia is the fear of hospitals, the worst kind of fear. The smells, the cries could make the dead rise and walk out.

Staphylococuss aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, in the inanimate environment, waiting for you to stir up more crying.

The drama against nosocomial infections goes on, the mattress, the chair, the bell at night, the step stool the toilet all play their part.

Battle cries are heard everywhere, as covid enters the scene from nowhere.

Disinfection is a word of the past, no one cleans the bed covered with body discharge.
Bacteria, protozoa, algae and fungi are the treasures found.

Did some one said molds, I know, it's not a small creature that lives in a hole, but it can ruin your day, as they grow.

Hospital food so tasteless and bland, no taste, no favor, no spices, nor garlic on microwave span. Garlic help keeps vampires away. The blood sucking nurses with their needles and tray.

Nosocomephobia is on the rise as Covid continues to rise.
