A brief poetic account of telemarketing hell

All Day Long

by nomi338

Every day my telephone rings
Most callers say the exact same things
"You are qualified for a loan"
Sometimes I wish, I had no phone

Some calls are labeled as 'Spam Risk'
Needless to say, I am tired of this
Covid-19 may well best you
"Sick? Come in and we will test you."

IRS says you owe back taxes
"Vote to fight the Evil Axis"
"Call this number, get on our list"
"The line you called does not exist."

All day long, they're ringing my phone
I wish they would leave me alone
How much broker can a man get?
I'm afraid I'm not even there yet.

My telephone rings all day long and 95% of the calls are from Telemarketers, saying the exact same thing over and over again. I found this image as a result of an internet search. I realize it is a photo of President Obama. I chose it because of the disgusted look on his face. Priceless.
