Between this flesh

Between this flesh my heart is deep
for that of which is dearest to keep
Thereof my soul my lord and my sire
To that of which my hearts deep desire
To carry with whom this hour of truth
Alas to twine from breast to Foot
My lord make haste to that of need
For my submission is at your lead
My beat was taken as time stood still
For it was my sire who held until
The pleasant touch of his hand indeed
The fairest eyes and lips I cleaved
His breath was that of the morning dew
His longing for mine was always anew
The clock had taken a time to sleep
desire to have was only season to keep
The hour at which my lord returned
The time with him my heart had learned.
For hence the fiercest knight of all
Had planned to take my Sire to call.
That of men's life to bravery's will
Not a beat of his heart desires to kill.
My sire was sickened in depths within
Of the whispers of the hour that time stood still.
Remembrance the flower whose petals so fair
touched by desire only love has to share
This sound gave light and strength to fight
To come back to his beat with all his might
For battle was long and dark with blood
But my Sire stood firm in midst of the flood
Time climbed the mountain as battle was won
To bring back my love; a waiting stone
The time came and all stood still
My love my Sire and all of my will
To glance at to stare to wish deep inside
My flesh to keep with my heart's deep desire.
