Practicing climbing mountains for sport or pleasure,
is a very old pastime.

Recently, this adventure received a great impetus,
because intrepid climbers have conceived of mountain
climbing as one of the grandest sports of all times.

As a result, mountain climbing adventures are now
risking their lives to clamber new desolate mountains,
to their snow-capped peaks.

In 1865, Edward Whymper scaled the Matterhorn.
In 1889, Albert F. Mummery ascended Kilimanjaro.
In the i950s Edmund Hillary, (above,) conquered Mt. Everest.
