What Address IS This?

I deliver for a living,
first newspapers, now DoorDash.
Half my life I've done so,
to help me make hard earned cash.

My pet peeve involves houses,
without numbers by their door.
It makes it that much harder,
makes me frustrated and sore.

I mean, how hard can it be
just to throw some numbers up?
You'd be surprised how many don't,
my anger then erupts.

Okay, the GPS, it helps,
it directs me where to go.
But I'll end up at six houses,
without numbers in a row!

I'll Google it to see it,
but as the song explains...
"They're all made out of Ticky Tacky,
and they all look just the same"!

How do mail carriers do it?
At least mail won't get old,
or melt like shakes that sit too long,
and burgers that grow cold.

I think house numbers that light up,
should be made mandatory.
So soggy food and bad reviews,
won't be part of my story.

So, people please put numbers up,
if you order ANYTHING!
I'll be much happier, you will too,
with the hot food that I bring.
