Contract Comes Due

High-pitched screams shattered the glass as the ground shook beneath Kara's feet. Her beautiful skin withered away, her hair knotted, and her bright blue eyes fell from their sockets. Her lips were bound together as she tried to scream. This was the price she paid when she sold her soul.
