First, let me say that FanStory members' portfolios contain all of their work, not just poetry. If you have found a writer that you like and want to see other examples of their work, you can go to their Portfolio and read other entries. Or, if you want to find examples of a particular form of poetry, it helps to go to a poet's portfolio and read their work that is of interest to you. This poem is to encourage you to 'stomp around' in other writers' portfolios and read their older pieces. Let me tell you how:
Go the the writer's main page... you can find a FS writer under the Community tab up at the top of this page.. click on it, then click on find a member. It is alphabetized so click on the correct letter and scroll down. Click on their name and it will take you to their Profile page... on the left side you click portfolio. That page comes up with the most recent work listed first. Go the the far right of the tab and click on the search symbol. That will bring up all of their writing in an alphabetical order. A lot of poets write the type of form that is used in their subtitles so you can easily find the type of poem you are wanting to study. Let's try a couple of examples.... go to my page ~ Sugarray77, then click on Portfolios on the left side, then click on the search tab, then scroll down and find a poem I wrote in 2020 "Journeys" ... voila!!! Try another... go to Gloria .... Portfolio, search tab, then scroll down and find her "He Painted Still Lifes" that she wrote in 2019. It is fun to read older pieces. My purpose is to encourage newer writers to go exploring and get inspired. :)
