Invisibility

Super Power Contest Winner 
I'd like to be invisible
anytime that I might choose.
I'd stand next to celebrities
and listen to them schmooze.

I'd hear what politicians say
when voters aren't around.
Invisible, I'd hear the truth,
lies they'd tell would astound.

Not saying I would do this,
but in banks, I could walk in
and empty out the cash drawers
when my funds are growing thin.

Please don't get in an uproar,
I probably won't steal,
but wouldn't it be great for once
to know how it might feel?

Unnoticed and unseen, I'd go
where I want, it's up to me.
No makeup, I'd not comb my hair,
I'd be completely free.

I'd make objects float through the air,
yes, a haunting, I would go.
People would think I was a ghost,
I'd put on quite a show.

As superpowers go, it seems
impractical, it's true.
Still what a blast, you won't see me
but I'll be seeing you!
