Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A moment in time.

Red Light

I’m just a man without a plan
I don’t have shoes for my feet
I don’t know where I’m going
I don’t know when I’ll eat
 
I’m standing here with a sign
You pretend not to see
Go ahead and read the words
Maybe your heart will bleed
 
Mine doesn’t, not any more
It died a long time ago
You think I am a scammer
Trying to take your gold
 
I don’t want your money
I don’t want your fear
I want you to look at me
And see we’re both here
 
This light can’t change soon enough
We both want to leave
This intersection of haves and not
It’s the way it’s always been.
