Bright Eyes...Shining Light

Bright Eyes...Shining Light

As I grew older, his eyes never parted from me.
I can feel them everywhere I go.
His dialogue always motivational.
Eternal hope ever inspiring รข?"
Embracing me, challenging me to believe in myself.
His picture and what it sparks in me, always treasured.
As a child, he never allowed me to ever want to fall.
He knew my thoughts, encouraged my plight
Always chanting my victories.
Years have elapsed since his parting, yet those bright eyes
Inspire still new challenges to climb,
Rejoicing in my endeavors.
Kind, gentle, and loving eyes always welcomed everyone.
In his fold, no one felt danger, his attention unwavering.
Listening attentively, following one's beliefs
Never questioning, intent sincerity and feelings.
His words healed the wounds, strengthened ambition
Carrying me to newer heights, never climbed before.
His eyes directed me to the shining light of human hope
Others sought his wisdom, others benefited from his kindness
Now I look for those bright eyes, seeking life-hope.
Let me hug him, even when he is so far away.
Feel the richness of his heart, building hope in me
Replenishing joy, tranquility, and human greatness.

My dad was a caring individual. He displayed continued interest in the life of his seven children. His twenty-three grandchildren still celebrate his generosity, and love. At his funeral many attendees, unknown to the family, spoke about his kindness and generosity when they appealed to him for help. Thirty-five years after his death I still can feel his presence.
