This work has reached the exceptional level
Sometimes lonely is better than the alternative

by Donna G. (aka Sam Duck)

"Crazy ~ I'm crazy for feeling so lonely"
Patsy Cline understands the empty void

I gaslight myself
Calling the feelings that well up in me
Immorality, corruption, perversion
My mind wants to fill the lonely space
With guilt and recriminations

But I wouldn't go back to you (and I do have the option)
Every day trying to make myself smaller,
Less me, more you

I do not need endless commendation
Constant praise, total submission
Like you wanted from me

Lonely or not, I am enough without you
