When I was twenty-something
And looking for employment,
Delta Airlines sounded
Like it would bring enjoyment.
 
I had friends in Atlanta, 
Who were reservationists;
They said, “Come up and join us,”
I applied, posthaste (ionist).
 
They offered me a job,
Did wonderful ole Delta,
But in Houston, by myself.
