A lovely dream this.....

Sweet Summer Scene

Use These Words Contest Winner 
Summer soon will be upon us,
birds return from southern skies.
Nesting eggs is their intention,
tree tops sway as warm wind sighs.

Up above the storm clouds gather,
soft rain that's long overdue...
Falls as quiet as a whisper,
earth again will now renew.

Up on high there soars an eagle,
flying through the cloudless blue.
Surely we should count the blessings,
God's bestowed on me and you.

"Too short a date has summer's lease",
Shakespeare penned this long ago.
And time has proved his words are true,
as through the years we've come to know.
