Life must be better after death.

Another Life

by Charity Stewart

Desire to survive is part of my imagination.

Death and I are having too many conversations.

System full of drugs, ready to die tonight.

I know all my problems will disappear in another life.

Dropping a perc in a can of sprite.

A chance of overdosing is a huge might.

Packed luggage of pain, boarding my last flight.

When I'm gone, I promise you everything is going to be alright.

Retraced steps of little hope.

Sitting on the edge of a ridge trying not to mope.

Severe depression is not a joke.

I'm ready to end it all, someone call the pope.

Diving in a pool of drugs, don't get in my way.

Dying in my sleep is my version of a better day.

Some people think death is an easy way out.

Mental depletion from being in a drought.

Silent tears, no strength left to shout.

Path of death following without a scout.

Freedom from suffering is worth any price.

Maybe I'll be better in another paradise.
