Sometimes, I wish I was a dog

A Doggy Dream

by mortman

My dog lies sleeping through the day,
He dreams away.
Perhaps a bone
He hopes to own?

He shivers in his doggy dream,
In bliss, he seems.
To run and play
And get away.

I'm sure he's content in his trance,
His dreams, a dance.
So keen to jump,
I love my pup.
