100 Word Story contest entry
My Daughter's Support
by DragonSkulls
At the breakfast table Tuesday morning, I was telling my wife about the latest story I was working on; the plot, the main characters and the surprise, twist ending.
My seventeen-year-old daughter then came hopping down the stairs on her way to school. She said with a big smile on her face, "You know what makes all your stories so fascinating, Dad?"
"What's that, sweetie?"
"Nothing." Then she burst out laughing.
While she headed for the door, I turned and looked at my wife, slowly shaking my head and said, "I opted for a vasectomy and a puppy but noooooo."
