Being "not quite" good enough to be the best is okay. That's what I tell myself anyway.
I might be famous for "nothing at all" - but I am a champion "not quiter"!
And being a champion "not-quiter" I never quite master the intricacies of metre, so don't worry about metre in my poem! Any metre mistakes are (probably) intentional!
I went to an art show, and crowds were standing in front of four large paintings on a huge display wall. These looked like blank canvases, but presumably had been painted with shades of white. There was â??nothing at allâ?? on them, it seemed. They were extremely expensive. Somebody had the idea of "How to get rich quick". Gullible onlookers nodded wisely as the artist promoted the abstract thinking behind the concept and asked for deep reflection about the enormous value of his avant-garde work. He only needed to be first to think of such an audacious idea!
I was "not quite" as smart as he was! I didn't think of doing such a thing.
