Condensing life into words

Final Musings

by Peter Mac

I reflect on the actions of my life,
As I count down the hours to my death.
Have I lived it well and worthy?
Or was my life valueless?
Of all the words and deeds,
Which is the finest?
That have I learned,
In one word,
Of life?
Love.
