Beloved family dog has gone where the good doggies go a month ago. Today I took my first walk on the path we took so many times before and I half expected to catch up with him, like I used to do when he ran ahead. He would be waiting for me with an old tennis ball in his mouth and a "catch me if you can" look in his eyes.

Sat down on a stump and wrote this amidst tears. People say," Will our pets be in Heaven?" I think so. God is good and it won't strain His resources if Heaven is full of the beloved animals He gave us down here.
