Ekphrastic Rhymed Poem

A chapter in the book Interpretations For Consideration

Moley Smoke

by Debra White

Within the midst of swirling smoke
a manic mole appeared.
He blinked a bit, he looked around,
it all was rather weird.

But stranger still, he spoke to me,
with furry paws aloft;
"I've gone and burnt my bloody toast!"
And then, he coughed and coughed.
