An extraordinary meeting
Face in the Water

I lounged on my raft. A face arose in the water. Our eyes met. She brushed aside her raven hair. She could easily be Neptune’s daughter.
She said, “Please, may I come aboard? I need to rest.”
I lifted her gently onto the raft. Recall of that day will never fade. We talked, kissed, and dove in to the lake. I thank the Lord we have been able to swim the sea of life together.
