Grand in every mind
Roam the Smokies’ winding hills
Ancient Indians roamed for millennia
Nature abounds in wonder
Divinely created for all
Fir/spruce forest to delight olfactory senses
After arriving on the Blue Ridge
Tromping along meandering trails
Healing sounds for the soul
Envisioning the settlers of old
Relishing the panoramic views

Mountain peaks majestic to the eyes
Owning no part but claiming all the splendor
Understanding the peace created
Nodding off under the long needle pine
Taking the blessings offered
Amethyst peaks kiss the horizon
Intertwine your soul with the love that surrounds
Not giving over to the plunder
